Terms of service
Last updated 18 July 2026
We prefer plain language to legalese, so these terms are written to be read. They describe how the studio works for every couple we photograph. Your signed booking agreement and quotation are the final word — if anything here differs from them, the signed agreement prevails.
Who we are
TAC Productions ("the studio", "we") is a wedding photography and film team working across Bangalore, Udupi, Mangalore, Kundapura, Hyderabad and at destination weddings in India and abroad. You can reach us at theartsycraftsmen@gmail.com or +91 91082 24930.
Bookings and retainers
A date is reserved only when the booking retainer stated in your quotation is received and the booking is confirmed in writing. Until then, dates remain open to other couples. The retainer is adjusted against your total fee and is non-refundable — it compensates the studio for holding your date and declining other weddings on it.
Final galleries, albums and films are released once the account is settled in full.
Rescheduling and cancellation
If your wedding moves, we move with it wherever we can: one reschedule to a mutually available date is accommodated without a fresh retainer, subject to our calendar. If we are unavailable on the new date, or the booking is cancelled, the retainer is retained; amounts paid beyond the retainer are refunded, less costs already incurred (travel bookings, permits, third-party commitments).
Delivery timelines
We plan and staff for photographs within 45 days of the last event covered, and films within 60 days. A complex edit or a peak-season run of weddings can occasionally extend these timelines — when that happens, we keep you informed rather than rushing work we would not put our name on. Albums and other physical goods follow their own production timelines, shared when you approve the design.
Copyright and use of images
All photographs and films remain the copyright of the studio under the Copyright Act, 1957, as agreed in your booking agreement. You receive a personal, non-commercial licence to your images and film — print them, share them, gift them, post them; they are yours to live with. The licence does not extend to commercial use or resale, and edited work may not be re-edited or re-filtered for publication.
We show our work: a selection of images and film excerpts may appear in the studio's portfolio, journal, social media and submissions. If you would prefer your wedding stay private, tell us in writing before or at booking and we will honour it.
Creative discretion
You book us for a way of seeing. Image selection, editing, grading and the final edit of films rest with the studio's judgement, in the style shown in our portfolio. Delivered galleries are archived for one month after delivery — please download and back up your gallery promptly. Extended archival storage is available for an additional fee if you would like us to hold your work longer.
On the day
We work quietly, but we do need the room to work: reasonable cooperation on schedules, access and light, and a point of contact for family gatherings. Where guests' phones and other vendors obstruct key moments, we do our best, but cannot retake a moment that was blocked. Meals for the team at events, and travel and accommodation for outstation weddings, are covered as per the quote agreed with us. Drone coverage, where included, is subject to venue and local authority permission.
If something goes wrong
In the rare event of illness or emergency, the studio will provide a substitute photographer of comparable standard, or refund payments for the affected coverage. For events beyond anyone's control — force majeure, venue restrictions, equipment failure despite redundant backups — the studio's liability is limited to the fees paid for the affected services.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Karnataka having jurisdiction. Questions first, though — most things are resolved with a conversation: theartsycraftsmen@gmail.com.
