A beachfront wedding at Manthan Beach Resort, Kaup — Tanvi & Yannic
Some venues you photograph; a beach you negotiate with. Tanvi and Yannic married at Manthan Beach Resort in Kaup, Udupi — a beachfront property where the lawn opens straight onto Kapu Beach — and the Arabian Sea set the schedule for the whole day.
Why a beach venue changes everything
On the coast, light is the only thing you can’t reschedule. We planned the couple portraits around the sea — Tanvi’s red Kanjeevaram against a pale, hazy horizon needs nothing else in the frame. Manthan’s outdoor lawn handles a beachside ceremony beautifully, while its carved interiors gave us cooler, editorial moments between events.
A wedding of two worlds
Tanvi grew up near this shore; Yannic travelled from across the world. The day moved between a South Indian ceremony and two families meeting for the first time, and the warmth of that meeting is what we chased with the camera. See the full story in our portfolio.
Planning a Udupi beach wedding
If you’re considering Kaup or the wider Udupi coast: book the outdoor lawn for golden hour, keep the muhurtha to the morning before the sea light turns hard, and let the shoreline do the decorating. We travel from Bangalore for coastal weddings like this one — check your date and we’ll tell you, honestly, how the venue photographs.
