Building the itinerary

A destination wedding on this coast typically runs three to five days, and most families build their itinerary around some combination of: a haldi, mehendi and sangeet across the first evening or two, the wedding ceremony itself, a cocktail party, and a reception either that evening or the day after, depending on family customs. Build in a half-day buffer for weather, since coastal Karnataka’s climate can shift quickly outside the dry season.
